On Our Radar: Designer Sample Sale
We do not want to miss this weekend's Savvy Giving by Design designer sample sale!
When I lived in New York, sample sales were a big deal, like you’d wait in line for hours to get a great piece for a killer price. I once scored an amazing chandelier from the now-defunct Brocade Home, a Restoration Hardware spinoff from the early 2000s, for $50.
Well, San Diego, there’s a designer sample sale this weekend, and you can bet that some of us here will be standing in line to get first dibs on the offerings.
Savvy Giving by Design—you know, the incredible local design company giving kids in medical crisis the rooms of their dreams—is hosting a home furnishings and decor pop-up shop inside the DuChateau showroom. It’s a chance for you (and me) to score a designer piece for our interiors at a fraction of the retail price. Plus, all proceeds directly benefit Savvy Giving by Design in their efforts to create healthy (and awesome) spaces for kids to heal. Want to learn more? The Savvy Giving by Design sample sale runs noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the DuChateau showroom (8480 Miralani Drive). There’s no fee to enter.
Want to get early admission to shop? Snag a $10 ticket, which also includes a pancake breakfast and kid-friendly activities. Use the code SGBDFAMILY. Seating is limited.
