3rd Annual Valle Food and Wine Festival
An amazing lineup of wine, food, chefs and talent in a vibrant part of the world
We’re excited to be a media sponsor for this fall’s third annual Valle Food and Wine Festival, hosted by celebrity chefs Nancy Silverton and Javier Plascencia at Finca Altozano. The festival returns to Valle de Guadalupe on Saturday, October 5 with dozens of chefs from from both sides of the border. In addition to the formal chef tastings, Mexican street-food style vendors will also be served well into the night.
In our Mexico-centric travel issue this spring, we featured Valle de Guadalupe’s food and wine region in our story “Mexico’s Thriving Valle de Guadalupe Wine Country,” and we fell in love with the area’s natural landscape, wine and world-class culinary offerings.
The 2019 event, which aims to promote and celebrate Baja’s wine and cuisine, will feature such chefs as Wolfgang Puck, Rick Bayless, Brian Malarkey and many more. Wine from 20 different wineries from the region will be available, plus beer and other beverages. And Grammy award-winners Ozomatli will headline the festival’s musical lineup. For the education-minded, the festival’s “Talks Under the Tree” component serves up tastings, discussion and expert panels moderated by Saveur founding editor Colman Andrews.
Tickets are selling fast, and options range from general admission to a variety of packages, VIP passes, add-ons and hotel options (including special children’s rates). The festival also offers a variety of transportation options from the border and points north.
