Scripps Mercy Ball

Scripps leaders, physicians, donors and community volunteers gathered for an evening of dining and dancing at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego for Scripps 47th Annual Mercy Ball. The event raised $2.5 million to help fund the construction of the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, which will provide the latest in treatments, research and clinical trials, and other support services critical to patients and their families. During the event, Dr. William Stanton III, Scripps Mercy Cancer Center medical director, was recognized for his 46 years of compassionate care with a donor’s gift of a $5 million endowed medical directorship.
