TIP: Once opened, keep vermouth cold in the cooler. Treat vermouth like a good white wine and it will be good to you.

Hellcat | Makes 1

  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Oranges, peeled using a veggie peeler
  • 1 OZ. mescal
  • 1 OZ. Campari
  • 1 OZ. sweet vermouth
  • Ice
  • Smoked salt

For each drink, throw a cinnamon stick in a pan over a fire until the stick becomes fragrant and begins to blacken, then toss in a wide orange peel cut with a veggie peeler.

Toss the burnt stick and orange peel in a cup. Add 1 oz. each mescal, Campari and sweet vermouth. Fill with ice and hit it with a pinch of salt.
