June 1st, 2018 – San Diego Architectural Foundation’s Context Volume 5: The Tijuana Renaissance/Feast For the Heart

On June 1st, see for yourself, and hear firsthand about Tijuana’s revival from the men and women who are making it happen. Come taste the food, the wine, and the beer, stay to learn about the architecture, design, culture. It will be an event not to be missed!

The Tijuana Renaissance offers a multipart program that includes a special VIP trans border bus tour. This optional, reservation only bus tour will take you across the border in style and return you home to San Diego after the Reception and Forum. The program also includes an open, free-to-the-public exhibit of the history of Tijuana, culminating with a culinary fair, featuring 8 of Tijuana’s best chefs pairing with 3 wineries and 1 TJ brewhouse. The evening program is a four-part forum discussing everything from our regional relationship, the emerging cultural explosions, development opportunity and building a quality of life through good planning and design. The latter two events will be held at the Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana, a landmark 1913 Neoclassical revival building overlooking the city’s downtown and San Diego Bay and itself a sight not to be missed
