Court Gesture

In our climate, we don’t need much prodding to get us outside; and with homeowners looking for alternatives to water-thirsty yards, a bocce ball court is a great addition. This court was built by leveling the grade, adding base material, building the sides out of pressure-treated posts secured in concrete and spreading a surface of decomposed granite. At 13 feet by 91 feet, a regulation bocce ball court may be too large for some yards, but a court 6 feet by 34 feet is totally acceptable and just as fun. For aesthetics, plant borders of low-growing shrubs and flowers.
