These ladybug-inspired food ideas from Armstrong Gardens will surely bring some smiles to your guests at your next garden party.

Ladybug Skewers

Make edible “ladybugs” from fresh fruit. Slide a strawberry and a blackberry (red grapes or blueberries work great, too) onto a skewer. Place the skewers in a container of tall grass (such as Botanical Interests’ cat grass) for an interesting presentation.

Ladybug Appetizer

Garnish toasted baguette slices with a “ladybug” made of fresh pieces of tomato and black olives atop pesto and basil leaves. You can use several varieties of basil to add more color to your dish (the photo shows purple and variegated basil).
