Bath Redo on a Budget
Emmy Award-winning producer David Perler had a small, cramped bathroom in his 900-square-foot New York City apartment that was gutted and redone by Robert and Cortney Novogratz as part of the makeover of his entire flat. Here are their ideas for redoing a bathroom on a budget:
- White subway tile is a sleek, clean and inexpensive tile option. If you have a more flexible budget, do a focal wall or a strip in a more expensive tile.
- Inexpensive sinks, toilets and tubs do pretty much the same thing as high-end versions and often look fairly similar.
- If you can’t afford a really nice vanity, use a pedestal sink. Cheap vanities look cheap.
- A single beautiful light goes a long way.
- Antique medicine cabinets and cool vintage mirrors look fantastic above the sink.
