Kitchen Considerations
When you’re in the market to give your kitchen a facelift, here are 10 items to consider:
-
Cabinets — paint and/or reface cabinets, add glass, install some open and pull-down shelving
-
Storage — add appliance garages and a charging station; convert base cabinets to recycling cabinets with rollouts; install a tall pantry cabinet with rollout shelves
-
Countertops — update with quartz, wood or stainless steel; create an eating bar
-
Backsplash — provide some pizzazz with beautiful tile, aka kitchen jewelry
-
Walls — paint for fabulous color; put up wallpaper; install beadboard
-
Hardware — change your look easily with new pulls, available in a variety of styles from rustic to contemporary
-
Flat-screen TV, IPAD — bring your kitchen into today with an IPAD and a wall or pull-down flat-screen TV
-
Doors — switch out exterior sliding doors to French doors or a sliding pocket door with a chalkboard panel
-
Lighting — install lights under and/or over cabinets as well as inside the pantry; add tracks for pendants
-
Appliances — update with an espresso maker, dishwasher drawer or microwave, refrigerator wine cooler or refrigerator drawer for kid’s drinks and healthy snacks
