Although Theodore Geisel spent the first half of his life on the East Coast, it was after he moved to La Jolla that he wrote his most famous books, including The Cat in the Hat, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
