40TH ANNUAL SAN DIEGO SCOTTISH HIGHLAND GAMES & FESTIVAL COMES TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNE 22nd & 23rd, 2013
(Vista, CA) – The 40th annual Scottish Highland Games and Gathering of the Clans will take place June 22nd and 23rd from 9am to 5pm at Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive in Vista.
The two day event will feature activities and entertainment for all ages including sheepdog demonstrations and trials, highland dancing, Scottish country dancing, Scottish vendors, Scottish foods and beers, bag piping and drumming competitions, Clan tents, children’s activities, concerts and more.
Men and ladies from the Scottish American Athletic Association (SAAA) will have members competing in the Stone Throw, Hammer Throw, Weight for Distance, and Caber Toss.
This year’s entertainment features the popular and eclectic band the Wicked Tinkers. Also starring on stage will be Highland Way, Blackwaterside, and Men of Worth.
Tickets are $14.00 for adults (pre-sale $12), $10.00 for seniors/active military (pre-sale $8) and $6.00 (pre-sale $5) for children ages 6 – 16. Children under 5 are free.
